Atsushi Takenouchi - JINEN Butoh

WORKSHOP PROJECT with MONAR
near to SZCZECIN(POLAND)

05/12/05 - 09/12/05


The Monar, non-governmental organisation for drug-addicts',
and The Teatr KANA(Szczecin) organized this workshop project for the young
who had been addicted to drug or to alcohol, or who had committed a crime.
(Very often their social or familial situation can cause these facts.)
They are now living their self-sufficing life there to regain their fooing in the society.
In this project, they had taken some workshops(journalism, rap music, theatre , butoh etc)
according to everyone's interest.

I had been there as an assistant of Atsushi.
Theses days left me an impression on my mind.
A big boy with tatoo on the arm, he had not danced much in this workshop,
but when he came, once he stayed firmly and still on the floor of the middle of the room.
The another who had not wanted to participate seriously to the training,
however when we came to him and dance with him, he smiled and tried to concentrate.
They had seemed for me too pure to be able to keep themselves stable...

I hope strongly all can recover themselves.





One day, they started spontaneously to try making animal movements.
